Mission + Vision

Since 1985, Halom House has been a cornerstone of the Greater Cincinnati community, providing housing and support for adults with disabilities. Halom House champions the independence and fulfillment of these adults, and works around the clock to offer the highest level of individualized care to its clients.

Our Mission

Halom House is dedicated to providing inclusive, safe, community-based residential options for adults with developmental disabilities. Halom House will uphold the rights, responsibilities and choice of every individual served while promoting independence and self-worth. We will foster client driven programming for both Jewish and non-Jewish individuals while providing an atmosphere that offers its Jewish clientele the opportunity to embrace and honor their Jewish heritage.

Our Vision

Halom House envisions a world where everyone with special needs has the care and support they need to live a full and independent life.

Our Values

  • Compassion
Because Halom House was founded by parents looking to enrich the lives of their children, compassion is at the source of everything we do. This is why such care is given to each individual and their unique needs, with a focus on quality, rather than quantity.

  • Independence
Halom House recognizes and values the importance of personal choice and autonomy in the lives of each resident. As a result, specialized care is provided to foster independence.

  • Inclusion
At Halom House, inclusion extends beyond offering equal access to opportunities and resources; it is a commitment that ensures no resident is left behind.

By infusing Jewish values and traditions, adults with disabilities can lead a supported life that integrates their Jewish heritage.
